Full bio

Anna Lidell works from a place where right and wrong don't exist. That freedom informs everything she builds... as a composer, producer, and now as an unlikely tech entrepreneur reshaping how artists make a living.

Based in Copenhagen, Lidell has spent two decades building a sprawling portfolio across music and media. She started violin at four and has since mastered enough instruments to credibly compose across genres. Her discography runs past 20 releases, with film and television credits including Netflix's SKAM Italia (where she scored the title track and full season four), award-winning films, podcasts, video games, and radio work. She's toured as a performer with the transatlantic pop project Teenage Love, which pairs playful production and classical strings with smart songwriting. She's also part of marstal:lidell, a dreampop collaboration that explored live-to-digital production, remixing classical composers (Satie, Langgaard, Mahler) in concert format across Europe.

But Lidell's real obsession sits at the intersection of music and industry. She chairs Autor, the Danish songwriters and composers organization, and serves as vice-chair of KODA, the country's collective management organization. That positioning came from a conviction: the freedom to create without rules is disappearing, and she thinks that matters. While building her own practice, she watched the machinery fail working artists. So in 2020, she co-founded Sleeve, a direct-to-fan platform that lets musicians turn followers into paying members through shared music, livestreams, and newsletters. The math is straightforward: 5% of 20,000 listeners at $10 a month means $120,000 a year, direct from supporters, no algorithm interference.

Lidell remains active as a performer and composer while speaking publicly on artist rights and sustainable income models. She's built something rare: a career that refuses to choose between artistic depth and structural change.
